Family with Children

Jesus said, ‘let the children come to me’ and this is absolutely what we believe at St Thomas á Becket Church. Children are at the heart of much of what we do, as are their families. We want the children and families of Ramsey to know how much God loves them, whether or not they know God yet. We have a real variety in our service structure so that families feel safe and at ease to bring their children into church or to our related activities.

Sunday Services

Family worship services on the first Sunday of every month at 10am.

On the Third Sunday of the month we have a family worship service at 10am with breakfast from 9.30am.

On the fourth Sunday of the month we run Sunday Fun (Sunday School) alongside our morning worship at 10am.
At our services, there are relevant activities for the children to get involved in when sitting with their families, or within our two designated children’s areas (one seated area and one chill-out area with bean bags). We also provide ‘doodle pads’ for those of us (adults and children) who prefer to draw, doodle or colour whilst listening to the sermon or readings.

3in1 After School Club

We run an after-school club, aptly named 3in1 Club, linked to the trinity but also food, fun and friendship. We meet in the Scout Hut every Monday after school during term time.

Lego Café

We also have a monthly Lego Cafe for families on the third Saturday of every month in the Scout Hut.

Work with Schools

We work with our Benefice schools:

  • Abbey College

  • Ashbeach School

  • Ramsey Infant School

  • Ramsey Junior School

  • Upwood Primary Academy

The schools promote activities that are taking place and we support young people in the community with their emotional health.

Toddler Time

We welcome parents, grandparents and carers of 0-4s to join us for songs, stories, fun, play snacks, craft and chat at St. Thomas á Becket Church on Mondays. There is a mixture of stories and songs from modern and traditional books including the Bible.

Doors open from 9.00am Monday morning for early birds and the singing session starts about 9.30am.

Fen Church

Come and explore God's treasures in the changing seasons.

Six times a year we have an outdoor informal service, called Fen Church. This is a great service for young and old. A different location each time exploring different places in nature out in the Fenlands.
